What Are Personas?
A persona is a representation of a particular segment of an audience. Put simply, what that means is that a persona is generally presented as a fictional person who represents the typical characteristics of a group of people. By having a single ‘person’ representing a larger segment of an audience, it can be easier to envisage and build marketing campaigns that meet the needs of these people. Many companies will have a small number of personas which cover their entire audience base.
